PalisadesParkIoA[Book: Vince Gargiulo – 2005 – 16x23cm – 128 Pages – Many B&W photos]. High atop the Palisades cliffs once stood Palisades Amusement Park (Cliffside Park, New Jersey), the home of the famous Cyclone roller coaster, the Tunnel of Love, and the many other rides that even today, several decades after it closed, are still warmly remembered. For those who ever visited the park, this book is sure to bring back cherished memories and re-create the thrills, laughter, and joy that was Palisades. Chapter Points: The Trolley Park (1898-1909); The Schenck Brothers (1910-1934); The Rosenthal Era (1935-1971). ANDY SHINE’S RATING: Good.

Another good amusement park book from the Arcadia Postcard History Series. If your main goal of this book is to dive into the rides and coasters it does take a while as the first section is mainly devoted to the early days showing many photos of gardens, trails, flowers, trees, etc. The middle and last parts of the book are full of postcards of the rides, coasters and the huge swimming pool. Not my favorite from Arcadia but a good one none the less. I would give it a 6.5/10.
