DVD_RememberingColumbiaGardens[DVD: Montana PBS – 1999 – 58 mins]. Family picnics, scary roller coaster rides, cracking the bar on the cowboy swings, and beautiful carousel horses. They’re all great memories of historic Columbia Gardens (Butte, Montana). This programme uses historical photographs, rare home movies and firsthand accounts about the history and myth of the beloved amusement park built by Copper King and former U.S. Senator William Clark. The park operated from 1899 to 1973. ANDY SHINE SAYS: An interesting look at a long lost park. There’s plenty of footage, and the programme discloses lots of fascinating facts and additional information. ANDY SHINE’S RATING: Good.
